ok, big problem, i have a carbon fiber hood i got for my evo recently, and the retaining nuts(i guess thats what i should call them?) that are inside the hood to hold the bolts to the hinges on the car are stripped, not the threads themselves, but the entire retainers just spin when i try tightening the bolts. i cannot drill them bigger, they just spin due to the torque, and the same goes for trying to re-thread them, or trying to just torque it in there, my next idea was using epoxy to try and hold it, it worked on one of them, the other three no luck, but i put more on it and am going to see if it helps any in the morning, but does any one have any other ideas? im going crazy trying to get these in!!! thanks all, get back to me asap please, i have a show on sunday!!

I had another experience with stripped bolts, so here is what i did:
My friend bought a rivet gun/not the regular one/. This one uses special aluminum rivets that come with a thread at the end. So basically is like you weld a nut in back of some surface, but without welding part and you can put it on almost anyhting: metal, plastic, wood, CF, etc. there is only one problem:
The surface, where you insert the rivets it shouldn't be too thick. No more than 3mm;1/8", because the rivet wouldn't hold too good and you can't squish the threaded part / you take out the insert after rivet is in /. It is around $100 and the one my friend has, came with three different sizes rivets;6mm, 8mm, 10mm. Good luck.
