So I'm looking to get a turbo back exhaust pretty soon here. I want to get the whole thing ceramic coated for two reasons: 1) Heat Insulation and 2) It will look awesome. Anyway my question is pretty simple. Should I just go with an aluminized exhaust since I'm going to have it coated anyways? Is ceramic coating rust proof/resistant? I realize that the insulation benefit would be minimal, but considering it would probably be nearly as much to upgrade to stainless as it would be to get it coated, I figure, why not? Thanks in advance

ceramic coating is itself rust proof. But it can b damaged by rock and what not which will leave the underlying material exposed. SS will last forever! A coated system will just rust from inside, because the major byproduct of combustion is water. Getting system coated is sweet, but don't cheese out on the system expecting a coating to make up the difference. If cost is a problem then just for go the ceramic and get the stainless. :thumb:
