I've been searching for an answer and can't come up with anything.

What's the difference between 95-96 & 97-99 center timing belt covers? They are listed differently in multiple places so it leads me to believe they are different but I can not see a difference from the pictures I have found. Any help is appreciated thanks for looking!

Not sure on the difference just know it has to be put on with the engine out. I broke 2 brand new ones trying with the engine the car.

Notice the notch on the cover for the early 95?

It fits just a tad bit differently around the then tensioner I believe.

It is a '95-'96 vs '97-'99 thing rather than an early '95 thing vs. all thing. Why? Because the '95-'96 had the CAS under the intake timing gear.

Guess what the notch is for...
