I'm having my apex-i catback system installed, do i have them hook up the oxygen sensor or not?

Also, would it be a good time to tap into that oxygen sensor for my A/F guage? is that where you tap into it?

thanks.

Yeah have them install the 02 sensor, if not your cel will come on. And you can tap into the ECU for A/F gauge or the front 02.

yeah def. install your o2 sensors back or you will get cel and you could start to run rich causing bad gas mileage.

the cat in the middle of the car or the one in the back of the car? which one is recommended to hook up? or both?

You obviously dont know where the 02 sensors are at on your car. There are two, one in the 02 housing (front 02), and one in the catback AFTER the cat converter (rear 02). When you replace the catback you have to remove the 02 sensor from your old system and put it in the new one. There should be a 02 bung in the aftermarket catback for the 02 sensor. Hope that explains and helps.

If there is no second O2 bung, a simple O2 eliminater mod is needed. It is found at www.vfaq.com

Along with directions on how to hook up an A/F Gauge.

On turbobacks you will get a CEL sometimes even with a high flow cat...

So run the 02 dummy box the eliminator..

As for the thread starter just try hooking it up first.

Without the eliminator mod the rear o2 sensor will cause a car to "run a little bit retarded".

Thanks for all the output guys, i was told the rear 02 sensor really didnt matter. but ok ill get that fixed lets see if the air fuel, or the watever it is thats holding my car back gets fixed.
