Hey man, make sure to get a cometic HG. Idk if you found one already, but I know that http://atomicspeedware.com/gascommit.htm has some of the cheapest, like I told Randy. Just didnt know and wanted to run that by you, but you prob saw my reply to him too. :thumb: Good luck w/ that, but your car will like the cometic HP alot better and you can run a little more boost if you want......even on stock internals. But that will be up to you...;)

The only problem is that they don't have my HG in stock and i NEED to get my car running by this weekend my boss is sick of me driving the company vehicle home....it will take about a week or more to get the HG from Cometic..

Wait...so you are saying that atomic speedware doesnt have it or Cometic doesnt have it in stock? Or its a week from both? Make sure you call or email from atomicspeedware.com. or just follow that link i gave you. :thumb: And if you meant from atomic speedware, then that sucks bro, hope you get it figured, or else buy a stock one and then order a cometic one later. Good luck though. ;)

Ok, i'll pop my 2 cents in here. My Talon hasn't been working for about 2.5 years. Before the 3 engine rebuilds i've really only driven my car that i'd had since 1998 for about 1.5 total years.

In the process right now of doing a JDM swap, front mount, dsmlink and other stuff for one more go again at this DSM thing. If it blows up this time, im gonna push it off I-205 bridge.

Yay, my car is up and running great. Nothing was wrong with the car at all, SHOCK OMG . The check engine light was because the idle control motor was "slow to respond" according to the books. Apparently it happens sometimes when the car is started on very cold days, as the ECU is tricked into thinking that the idle control motor is being slow, when in reality it's just that it's freaking cold. This happened to me right in the middle of that ice storm we had, so it makes sense. Yay for a working car!

Their body shop also fixed my bumper. Good as new, and great OEM quality, :) Ramses, I completely forgot to call you, but it turns out that they body shop forgot to send the old bumper back to the dealer with the car. They said they would call me whenever they got it back. So when that happens, I could call you and arrange for you to get it if you did in fact want the old bumper to toy with. Or we can meet up for a bit down there just to hang out for an hour or something so you can see the silver trim.

Any, hopefully this DSM will keep on it's feet for a long while :dsm:

Anyways, good to hear there is nothing wrong w/ the ride too. :thumb: Just hit me up and we can chill or whatever...? Later and hit me up. ;)

Atomic doesn't have the right one in stock, and Cometic would have to make the HG and then ship direct to me and by that time it would be next week i called hahn racecraft the maker of my turbo system and they said with ARP head bolts and a Stock HG it will hold they have a 420a that runs 30psi with a stock HG... So thats what im gonna do...

I haven't driven my car since this thread started, not due to not running but fear of gaining miles...

word, after having the talon parked for 7 months, I decided i'd drive that for a bit so i put the galant to bed in the garage. Nothing better than long term storage for a perfectly running DSM. :D
