1G Carbonfiber hood doesnt align at hoodlatch?

got this off craigslist for 130... vis evo style for a 1gb. it fit fine till i tried to close it and it wont close all the way... nothing is stopping it and cant find oput why, any suggestions? Guy who owned it before is a douche and won't respond.

It looks like to me that your hood latch is "locked". Have you tried opening it w/ the lever inside the car and then closing it? I know if you flip it to the closed/locked position without anything latched in there it won't open again to let something be latched there until you pull the lever and unlock it.
