i just got my new hood today that i ordered off of ebay for $278.88 shipped from 3a-tuning and it looks awesome and is pretty lite. i was wondering if i should use a certain wax to wax the hood, i thought that i could use the same wax as i use for my car, to wax my new cf hood and just wanted to check before i do n e thing. of course the hood has a clear coat, and uv protectant and all that good stuff.

Well if the hood has clear coat I don't see why you couldn't use a wax. Like clear coat is paint without any pigment.
But I never knew cf hood cames with clear coat on them. Usually if you want a lot of shine from them you have it sprayed with a layer of clear coat. Do you mean a gel coat?

As far as I know most if not all carbon hoods come with the a clear coat on them, and I don't seen any reason why you couldn't use a wax.

Yes carbon fiber hoods come with clear on them. Other wise they would have no uv protection. THe protection is in the clear itself. Use a regular wax on it, thats what I do on mine. :thumb:
