Ok guys I'm having a huge problem. I have a 93 talon awd turbo, automatic. Car is running a 7 bolt with a td05 turbo. Motor has approx 32k on a fresh rebuild.
I bought the car from another local dsm'er who built it and drove it over a year without a hitch. When i purchased the car it had recently started falling on its face which we thought was a failing fuel pump.
Installed a 255lph walboro and put in 450 injectors thinking no problemo getting fuel now. Car still bogging so i took out the walboro and put another stock fuel pump in thinking the non regulated 255 was drowning me. Swapped it over same problem.
Ran a boost leak test which showed a tiny pin hole in the side mount ic. System still held pressure so it wasnt bad enough to cause this. Put in another 02 sensor,maf,cam sensor,and a 62 60 computer last night on advice of another experienced dsm'er. Nothing works.
Car is running horrible. Its a dead dog under acceleration, while the turbo is spooling up at 10psi the car wont hardly move.
The problem seems to be the car keeps loading up. The only way its driveable is stand on it and hold it till eventually it builds 5 grand and blows some black smoke out of the tailpipe. I know it's running pig rich because its turning my bumper black, and if you keep kicking it in the ass it will run great till you putt around for a bit then it loads up again. I had 390 injectors in it and it was acting the exact same way so i dont think it's the 450's.
I'm at my wits end here guys i have two other very experienced dsm guys helping me and we're all perplexed. So i'm posting up here to see if anyone has any ideas.
