I drove the car in the morning and everything was fine. But when I pulled it back out of the garage before to get some stuff, the idle kept shooting down. The car starts up fine and all for the first 30+/- seconds, but after that the idle keeps falling to a point where it stalls completely. I'm not sure if its a boost leak or not since I can't really hear one. When the car is moving, everything seems fine, but as soon as I stop, it starts to fall and stall out eventually.

Also, I have that blinky blinky light A/F ratio gauge. When its idling or moving, theres no light at all. When I give it more throttle, I see one or two green lights. Could it be the o2 sensor on the way out? Everything seemed to work fine for a minute when I was pulling the car back into the garage and I let it idle for 2 minutes before I pulled out the key for the TT to kick in and it just started to happen again.

I stuck my head under the car when it started to idle low and I heard some knocking noise comming out of it. I didn't hear the knocking noise when it was idling fine the first 30 seconds I start the car but the sound comes after it starts to drop.

I havent had one of these cars very long so this may not be the best info. but my car started doing the same thing, ran great as long as you was not idleing. Car started doing it every so often worse when first starting up but also did after warm then one day just quit running all together and it was the ECU. Mine is a 92 so may not be same.

Okay, I just tried a couple of things. Tried pulling the ISC, no luck. Tried pulling the o2 sensor plug, no luck. Tried resetting the ECU, no luck. What else can it be? I really need to fix this ASAP.

I hope that someone out there can help figure out this problem!!! I finished my motor swap a couple months ago, and have been having minor problems with the car. Things like having a stock FPR stuck wide open at idle and such. Bad Plug came along with the bad FPR and know I have replace both. However, now my car is doing the same problem as discribed above. It have mad me so friggin mad. I have changed just about everything on my car, and I'm getting to the point where I'm just going to juck the thing and get another car that might make me happy stock, but I really don't want to do that. Someone please help me figure out this problem before I start chucking hammers at the car.

you've checked your ISC? They all Ohm out to like 30ish? Could be the EGR, you could make yourself a block-off plate and try that to eliminate that as a problem. Are you venting your bov? if so, then don't. Did you try a new biss? seals could be bad on the one in there. Also one other thing i just thought of, on the back of the intake manifold, my car has this sensor. I guess I'm not 100% sure of what it is, but I think it's one of those California car things having to do with emissions. Anyway, it screws into the bottom/back/passenger side of the intake mani, kinda by the egr. Make sure it's not leaking from there if yours has one as well. mine came loose once and the car was runnin like crap.
