Have a lil problem here. My car wont go into gear. It feels like you need to force it and i really dont want to do that. The slave cylinder is approx. 1 yr old. When i noticed this lil problem starting i bleed the slave. it made it no better, if anything it made it worse. Is there any possiblity the clutch fork is bent or maybe a weak pressure plate. How would you know if the master was no good? It doesnt make any noise or anything out of the ordinary. FYI, the clutch is a act 2900 with act flywheel, all with approx. 4000 miles on them.

I did check the forums to try to fiqure this out. No good with that. Any help would be great. Thank You!!

Yeah, i bought a Timken tob. How do i adjust the clutch? Do you mean bleeding it?
No, there is an adjustment under the dash. Check out this thread for info on how to do it If that doesn't help, is the clutch fork the original one? I had a similar problem (a few thousand miles after my 2600 install), finally figured out the factory fork broke. They now sell a "revised" version at the dealership, its a little beefier than the original version :thumb:

the fork is like a year old. bought that right from the dealer. i reall dont know if is the revised one. but thanks for that tidbit. i really am aiming towards the fork. i am going to change the slave again today so we will see what happens.

and as far as the shifter cables being bolted down, how would that affect the clutch???^^^

Ok, I went outside just now tried to adjust the clutch pedal. It still grinds and all good stuff. It actually fells like it has no pressure now at all. But, when i was under looking at the adjustment rod it seems like there is brake fluid coming out of the little rubber bushing. I think that might be a sign of the master clutch cylinder? I am really not sure.

Hey guys i am having a similar problem with my gears grinding and just wondered if you ever resolved this problem eagletalonjohn? Was it the master cylinder? Because i am out of ideas here, thanks.

Hey, I'm interested in this thread as I'm having the same problem - loose pedal, hard to put in gear. Even disengagement issues. Trying to put it in reverse and it starts grinding. Hydraulic system seems fine... possible bent/broken fork?
