OK, so now that the weather has been getting warmer my tranny takes a poop on me. The tranny shifts fine when its cool, and I haven't been driving long. However once it gets hot on like a 75-80 degree day, EVERY SINGLE GEAR grinds like a mofo when i try to put it in. today i couldn't even put it in 1st gear at a stop sign as hard as i pushed it just grinded the fuk out of the tranny, i shut the car off, put it in 1st and restarted it to leave. I'm so sick of it. I had a new clutch put in 10k miles ago, so it can't be that right? I know that my 2nd gear synchro is going because that usually always grinds, but not all the other gears like in hot weather. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I agree with ktp4321 that it could be clutch adjustment, I just recently had the same problem and I had to stand up on the pedal to get the clutch disengaged. Another thing that could have happened is there could be air in the clutch line. I would adjust the pedal, and if that dosn't work bleed the clutch lines. In my case I simply adjusted the pedal and was good to go.

so even if the clutch adjusted properly, would it just now start to cause problems 10k miles later? and why would it only do it when its really hot out? wouldn't it do it all the time?? Thanks so far...

I don't know why it would occur 10K miles later, but clutch adjustment is one of the easiest things to check and if it's not that then you could check that off the list and start worring about other things like bad seals on the piston in the master cylinder, air in the lines, a bad slave cylinder assembly. it's just best to work from the easiest, most obvious of problems and then work your way to the more complex stuff. Since there are so many variables that could be contributing to your problem it would be kind of hard to diagnose exactly what is wrong with your system simply by reading the post.

Thats exactly what it is ... your clutch needs adjusting.. same thing use to happen to me with my gsx. it would run fine for about 10 to 15 min then after the car warmed up it was difficult to get it into 1st and reverse. i had the clutch adjusted and put in gm syncro mesh for good mesure and never had a problem with it after.

I just put a new clutch in last weekend. The clutch was so shot its not even funny. It was an Exedy clutch and there were grind marks and all kinds of gouges in the pressure plate(I think?). But anyways, it shifts fine now and I can actually somewhat enjoy driving my car again....
