Car will not turn on *96GS*

Today I tried starting my car for the first time in like 2 months. I jumped the car but it did not turn on. The stereo works, dash lights light up but when I try to turn the key all the way it will not start up. after fully turning off the car the battery dies within minutes.

Check the little post on the starter while someone is cranking the engine. If the little post lights up a test light, then likely the starter or solenoid is bad. If it doesn't light up, then it's a feed problem. If it's auto, check the neutral safety switch. If it's manual, check the clutch switch. Check the starter relay by switching it with the same numbered relay in the relay box. Check your engine fuse. You could possibly have a bad ignition switch.

He says after turning off the car the battery dies within minutes, so also check your alternator fuse and if the fuse is good, try pulling it out and recharging the battery, see if the battery still dies so quickly or if it holds a charge. If it holds with the fuse out it could be the alternator.
