OK so my car vibrates alto right now.. they just changed the timing belt and replaced the water pump.. my rotors were cut since they were warped.. and i need new tires.. if they put the right one where the left one was and switched them would that make a big difference.. i know i need to fix the front motor mount but it was already like that before and it didn't matter.. it vibrates pretty bad.. more like a shake when i rev the engine.. it doesn't vibrate when i give it gas and accelerate but when i maintain a speed it vibrates a lot.. it vibrates more when its around 20 vac on the boost gauge.. what could it be??

Have you had this problem since you timed it? If so sounds like you rear blance shaft (oil pump gear) is out of time. You are supose to turn the shaft around untill it freely turns in to place near the timming mark by its self due to the counter wight on the shaft.

Edit also look for egged tires.

turn the oil pump pulley till the timing mark is at 12 oclock position let it go if it falls anti clockwise its correct, if it falls clockwise give it one full turn and try again .

yeah i am not sure about the harmonic balancer belt was replaced. . should have replaced it but but didnt think. . the tires were switched and they are pretty bad.. scraped from the sides like if the guy before dropped it so low they would scrap when he turned.. so i think i am going to replace the tires first.. then try the belt..

The harmonic balancer is not a belt, if thats what your saying??

Its the pulley on the crank that also spins the drive belts. If that were bad, and who ever did the labor didn't notice this well i would never give them business again.

Does it vibrate when you rev it in neutral? Up to 3k then goes away?

I just installed my delta 272 cams and I have noticed my engine at idle rocks/vibrates ,then when i rev it up it is smooth . so only at idle ......is this the cams making a ruff idle ?

yeah.. it feels very tough in a way.. didnt before and yeah the balancer pulley is aftermarket.. its red.. will check if its bolted on tight though.. when they replace the water pump what exactly do they take off??

was the timing belt replaced and put on correctly.. i ahd that happen when i replaced the valve seals turned out the timing was off.

timing marks are dead on . car drives and boosts great! big power gain in the top end ,so i know its not timing .....I am guessing weak mounts and 272 cams causing the idle vibrations

well i fixed the big vibration.. changed the front mount and tranny mount. got new tires and balanced them.. now feels way better!!!!
