So, I have come to the decision of selling my 96 GSX. KBB/NADA will give me a ballpark but doesn't take in to account for the bad headgasket.
She is a work in progress and ran pretty good before headgasket blew, aside from the rich idle condition which I am now pretty sure was from minor coolant seepage into a cylinder. I have mulled over the thought of replacing HG myself or having a shop do it but I would rather add a Panther DPMS or Huldra to my collection.
Would $1500 be reasonable?
Has evoIII, 4-1 exh, newer stock inj/fpr, new fpr solenoid, fuel filter, pssnger and hatch locks are seized, needs headliner and snrf trim, body on a scale of 1(bad) to 10(flawless) I would give it maybe a 4, headlight lenses are in need of replacing, needs new foglights(was planning to do 2nd version 2gen if I went FMIC) has newer timing belt with about 15,000 miles on it, has new alternater and battery, have drilled rotors for it(not installed), red speedhut glow gauge cluster overlays, TB shaft seals new, int mani gasket new and probably some other minor things I have forgotten...will need rims and tires but what it has works.
If I sold it for $1500-$2000 I would be plenty happy....don't have time to keep going on this "work in progress". There is a CEL which comes up as cylinder misfire...bad headgasket.

Thanks in advance for opinions (or offers LOL)

oh... first owner (woman)bought it new and used it as winter car and stored it during the summer to drive her mercedes, go figure LOL. She sold it to me with multiple boost leeks and tranny was in limp-in mode (blown fuse).

Why dont you just fix the head gasket yourself?? its not that much work to do and would raise the value on your car significantly just my .02 but for a few hours of work you could sell the car for a few hundred bucks more and would sell alot faster because it would be drivable as is
