i read through quite a few of the postings on here but they don't quite describe my problem. The car was running fine up until yesterday. I drove it about 20 miles to vote and on the way home it wanted to stall every time I came to stop.

As I come to a stop it stutters and seems like its struggling to run. The RPMs at idle are about 500. While driving the car performs fine and still has good acceleration.

I've noticed when the car starts to die the battery voltage drops to around 10-11 volts. I recently put a new alternator on the vehicle because of voltage problems. I bought a 90 amp lifetime one from advanced auto. I also have a redtop battery that tested good.

Any ideas what this could be? It couldn't be my ecu again could it?

my car did the same thing when the caps started leaking just I didn't have any problems with charging

Thats what I was kind of thinking. But I had bought a new one from advanced auto about 5 months ago. I guess it could be, but I don't know why I keep frying ecu's.

yeah i dont know about all that other stuff but i remember my car would stall every time at the lights i would have to keep the rpms up and everyone thought i was tryn to rev it up to act kool LOL. it was horrible good luck.

yeah. I've had a couple unintentional races already. haha. I don't have an 02 sensor before my cat. Or I should say, where my cat is supposed to located. ;) Should I check the one by the turbo?

im not framiliar with the turbo setups but the one im talking about it under the headers on the downpipe on mine so the one on your turbo is in the general location so they might have the same job.

my car did this right when i bought it and there are several things i can tell you to check. I do not have a turbo car, however i've heard from many sources that a boost leak could cause this. on my car, i had several problems, my TPS was bad, that helped, and i also had a problem with my ECM, replaced both parts and it solved the stalling issue, then i ran into an idle surge issue, but lets cross one bridge at a time. check your TPS, procedures should be in your repair manual. If you don't have a repair manual, get one, you will need it. I've used mine more times than i could count, and it's saved me more money than it cost to get one. If you have the stock ECM in the car, replace it next, because if its not bad yet, it will be. All of the stock ECM's will end up with leaking capacitors, period. However before you buy one and plug it up, there are other parts that need checked or you may fry the new one, but we can cover that later if need be.

My TPS came from a junkyard car for $10, and my ECM from Motoguy's Garage which can be found on Ebay, i think it cost me about $250

Hope all this helps.
