Now I realize there are other posts about this but mine is different, it starts AFTER the car starts and doesn't stop It just SQUEEEEEEEEEL And did I mention it DOESN"T stop? I replaced all the belts, I sprayed lubracant on the pullys... and its still there... Do I just need to break down and buy new pullys or what?

It could be the harmonic dampener going out on the crank pulley. When you start the car check the crank pulley to see if it wobbles. If it does it's going bad.

Ya, I would check the crank pulley. They sometimes come apart with the outer ring coming loose. You can look to see if it doesn't look normal while the car is off first. If it looks fine then check it with the engine on to see if it appears to wobble. If it does need to be replaced replace it with an OEM one. Do not buy one of those lightened ones. Only the stock ones have the balancer.

Mine does it too is it a LOUD squeel or not too bad all i do is turn my fans on for the heat or ac in my car and it goes away then i turn them off and its done making noise.

did u recently have the pulleys off? Check and make sure the outer pulley isnt on backwards, I did that once :p

My eclipse used to squeal like a pig for about 6 months.... I replaced the belts, and it still squealed. Then my alternator went out, I had it replaced and low and behold the squeling was gone.

So I would say it be worth a shot to look at your alternator. Maybe its pulley. Who knows:thumb:

i had the exact same problem and i traced it to the altenator, i took the belt off and tryed to spin it and it didn't spn to well, the cheapest way to fix it is to tighten the belt some, there should be about and 1/8" either way, and i have had no long term effects from this, and it's been tight for about 5 months and nothing else has gone wrong. but my best guess would be the altenator. try accelerating with the heat on high, then turn the fan off and see if the squeking goes away a bit.... let me know what happends
