OK i have a 1990 eagle talon tsi awd thats all stock except for a k&n filter and straight piped exhaust. When I start my car up the idle surges really badly from 0 to 2000 rpm. Whenever i give it 1/4 throttle the car sputters alot, from 500-3000 rpm(still in nuetral). The problem seems like it goes away after the car gets warmed up but its still noticable. Its almost like im loosing spark or fuel momentarily. It seems like the car started doing it right after I cleaned the air filter so I think theres something wrong with the MAF but I cant tell because the check engine light isnt on and im a n00b. Please help me get my talon running again!!!

Have you tried looking at the condition of your spark plugs? And what did you use to "clean" your air filter?

I used k&n air filter cleaner and oil. I just regapped the spark plugs to .030 they were replaced at 70k miles and theres 102k currently on the car. still didnt help at all. I think theres something wrong with the MAF cause it studders really quick within a 500 rpm range, ill post a video of it maybe that would help

What is your vacuum at?? Also I believe your stock boost gauge should be below -7 at idle. You may have a boost leak or vac leak.

I think its electrical because my dome light blinks when the car sputters, I have a bunch of SCCA safety stuff in my car to cut the power I think maybe some of it came loose.
