Whats going on guys, First and foremost, Yes I searched before making this topic. ROFL

Alright here's how it went down.

First time Ive driven this car for more then 25 minutes straight. At a stoplight I hammered the throttle and noticed that my boost gauge was barely touching 10lbs of boost And car feels not so peppy.

I did another pull and watched the factory gauge this time, Same deal car only hits like 9 or 10lbs at like 4k rpms. My first thoughts were "boost leak" But I have not touched the car under the hood in a while. As a matter of fact, this car is bone stock right down to the air filter.

The other day When I was under the hood when the car was running I noticed the injectors "ticking" loudly, which is telling me that I need new injectors soon. But I dont see how this would relate to boost problems.

any help?!

have you checked the vacume lines? also the seals on the injectors can also cause boost leaks.

Havent checked anything really, I noticed that after the car cooled down, I was able to hit higher boost again.

I'm stumped

It's not your injectors ticking, it's your lifters.

Fill out your Profile so we know what car we're talking about. Sounds like stock boost levels.

car is a 92 laser rs, 6/4 awd.

It is in fact the injectors ticking, I swapped them out with some 550's I had laying around and fixed the ticking problem.

yes I do have an aftermarket boost gauge,

Despite what has probably been guessed, I am not a newb to DSM's.

In fact I just sold my 2g gst, And bought this laser awd (for obvious reasons).

Just orderd eprom ecu, wideband, boost gauge, apexi n1 turbo back, and dsm link
