My Car = 97 GS-T/5speed (159k on ODO)

So my engine light came on 2 nights ago and threw me code p0340

*Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction*

Went to the dealer and replaced the sensor, and reset the light. The light hasn't came back on yet but the car is still running crappy like it did, with slow acceleration (Pedal feels heavy) with an occasional bog/cut out? The car starts up fine & idles fine too. It does get me from Point A to B, just very sluggishly, and my fuel setup is completely stock. I did replace the fuel filter a few months back also. I'm sure someone else must have had the same problem, please enlighten me! Thanks

Replacing the sensor should have fixed the problem. Have you checked the wiring going to it? Most of the information on here points to a faulty or not plugged in sensor. Try disconnecting your battery for a while to just incase something needs to reset.

I have the same problem right now but haven't gotten the sensor yet and was wondering If once I change the sensor would need to redo the time belt again and also I got the same code you got but is there any way I can test the sensor to see if that is the real problem ### I am low on funds right now
