car revs itself

I changed the fuel injectors today and put everything back together took off intake plenum and replaced gasket took off throttle body and replaced that gasket as well , I go to start my car and the ####ing thing starts revving itself to about 5k rpms I need help what's wrong with my car?

Make sure you didnt pull the throttle cable or miss adjust it somehow.

The throttle cable has a little bit of slack to it, is it supposed to be tight with no slack?

no slack but not pulling on the throttle linkage. i would un hook the cable from the throttle and have someone step on the gas to see if the cable moves freely in the sheath for the throttle cable and isnt hung up.

you got a vaccum leak man. did you torque the manifold bolts to spec?? get some carb cleaner and start the car, spray the carb cleaner around your intake manifold and throttle body. if it revs up when you spray it then that is where your vaccum leak is.

Also check any sensors pluged into the intake mani and TB. Take your intake off and make sure the throttle plate is closed.

I tightened the bolts on the intake.plenum until they I couldn't tighten them anymore, if my car wouldn't go into 5krpm everytime I would try the carb cleaner, I shall adjust throttle cable tomorrow and report if that solves my issue if not then I shall ask for more help.
I'd also like to add that all sensors are connected.

did you take out your tps?? make sure your bracket that holds the throttle cable to the intake manifold is in the right position.
