Yesterday I rotated my tires because my front ones were bald. So when I get done I take it for a spin and it pulls to the right extremly. Like, I can hold it on the road, but if I take my hand off of the steering wheel just for a second, it pulls to the right. Do I just need to get it aligned or is there something I can do? I made sure that the wheels are tight, so that isnt the problem.

-I was straight before I rotated them

-the tire pressure is normal in all four

-It does it all the time, in parkinglots as well as at WOT

I have this same problem. although my tires are all the same pressure, and the alignment is fine.

I have a 1990 Laser RS n/t FWD, and it seems like the steering is really loose. when im doing anywhere from 30 to 80 its shaky but 85+ its smooth. not that it goes much faster haha. any ideas guys? Could it be brake related?

Thats resurrecting an old thread LOL. Are you touching the brakes when its shaking. If not, then it is not related to your brakes. Check your front end suspension. Check Alignment, tire balance. Are the tires chopped or cupped at all. Any flat spotting, etc.

haha, yah 4 years later... i didnt want to make a new one. no flat spots, nothing wrong with the tires. the factory steelies and tires were bald so i upgraded to 18"s from my old car. it happens even when im not on the brakes. i got new pads and rotors today and am changing them tomorrow afternoon. i didnt no if it was related to brakes. although my rear brakes are shot anyway. alignment is fine too. all lugs are torqued to 90. any other ideas hah?

the suspension was the only other thing i could think about, but what about it? I was thinking about getting KYB gas shocks front and rear and/or lowering the front 1.3 and the rear 1.1

today i did the rear brakes today, but when i was underneath the car i realized that the left tie-rod is starting to leak.... could that be my problem?

:talon: my new 91 talon has done this as soon as i got it. but its not alligned perfectly either. and the ball joint was shot. now its on jack stands because i had to change the cross member which was causing the axle to pop out alot on the passenger side. should be finished up tomarrow so i can see if it still pulls with the allignment fixed as well as the ball joint. :talon:
