Ok. now I saw a thread on what I'm going to ask but I could't find the answer there: the problem is that my car loses power after 4,500 rpm when I acclerate hard but if I acclerate slowly than I do have power after 4,500 rpm, I'm guessing that my tps is almost gone or bad ecu, or is there another cause to this problem???:talon:

what else does your car have for upgrades...

sounds like lack of air. try using a k&N... and then free up some exhaust with larger downpipe, cat back system etc... when you floor it, you may somewhat flood the engine cause it cant keep up with enough air.

Another suggestion might be to clean your intake piping and, more importantly, clean your MAF sensor. A dirty MAF will give the ECU inaccurate readings on the amount of air the engine is sucking in, so that's always a good place to start. Also, make sure everything else is in proper working order (plugs, wires, etc...)

Well, I have the stock air tube still but, I am going to install a 3 inch tube along with my gm mas, I already upgraded my exhaust pipe from 1 7/8 to 2 1/2, and I am finally installing my eprom ecu with a non turbo upgrade chip. hopefully that will help

Funny how my beater GS does the same thing. More than likely it is spark blowout or not enough fuel (of course it could be the ECU too, since it's a 1g).

Check your:
ECU - leaking capacitors
spark plugs - OEM PN, BPR6ES
spark plug wires
ignition coilpack - measure resistance across 1-2 and 3-4.. should be right around ~13k ohms. If not, replace.
replace fuel filter
check voltage to fuel pump (you may want to replace it anyway)
check ignition timing
check std. timing

Goodluck.

p.s., your TPS has nothing to do with your problem. All it does is tell the ECU how much your throttle plate is opening up. Even at 50% throttle, you should still make power.
