My friend has an Eclipse she's trying to sell, and I might buy it since I don't have a DSM anymore. Anyways she says while she's driving it, it'll just die. Sometimes it'll start right back up, but usually it takes 2-3 minutes before it'll start again. She said she's replaced the coil packs, cuz I figured it's probably ignition related, and that's where I personally would check first, but she has already swapped em. She mentioned something about it being the ECU, but hers wasn't the recall year (I dunno about DSM recalls as I'm a Z person). Anyways, any ideas what it might be? I'd like to help her fix it, because then I can see if I like it, and maybe buy it since the body and interior are good. [email protected] if someone wants to email me with an idea. Thanks!

Oh ya, it's a 95 GS with auto tranny if that matters. Also she said sometimes she'll go out to start it, and it just won't start.

Are you getting a check engine light,CEL?
It sounds like the ECU is going away for sure, check for error codes at the diagnostic port.
