I have a 93 talon awd that has been sitting for 3 months. I went to move it today and the car wont budge. It took 3 of us to push the car back. It seems as if a wheel is stuck/locked up.

I jacked the car up unbolted the rear diff from the driveshaft. the rear diff spins fine BUT only the passenger side wheel will spin, the drivers side is locked up. Possibly a seized brake caliper. Seems as if the e-brake is on at all times, enough to have my on the driveway and no e-brake engaged, the car didnt move.

Now for the front, I assumed that the front wheels would now spin freely as the rear diff is not connected. NOPE. The wheels are locked as well, the driver's side doesnt move at all and the passenger side spins like 180*.

I need to sell the car...any ideas?

no it is not, it felt normal...but i need to chcck to see if the brake caliper is seized on the rear, the car has been sitting for a few months.

i have abs, could there be a clog in the valves?

I am pretty sure that your brake caliper is locked up. Try "massaging" that brake caliper while your buddy is working the park brake handle. If this doesn't work you will probably have to replace the caliper or the cable. You won't know for sure until you get the cable off the caliper to see which part is'nt working. Good luck

I agree with the caliper problem. Mine has a bad caliper on the right rear and if I let the car sit over 2-3 weeks, I have the same problem. It has frozen bad enough to overheat the rotor and create enough heat to melt my center cap while driving. I have had a new caliper for 6 months, Im just to lazy to paint it and put it on the car.

thanks everyone for their input. the rear brake caliper was seized...i loosened it and reinstalled it and it works fine. the front rotors were rubbing on the caliper. this is because i put 92 brakes on a 93 (after swapping the big brakes onto the car im keeping) and i did not realize that you had to drill out the holes for the bolts on the hub. thanks again everyone!
