Yesterday while i was driving home, there was a 3g eclipse next to me on the street and i kept reving my 98 eclipse GST and letting go to make the swoosh sound with the bov, i did this about 3 or 4 times and then all of a sudden when i tried to accelerate the car keeped stalling as if the fuel was cutting off, so i steped on the accelerator even more and i looked at the boost gauge and whenever it stalled the needle kept jumping from 15 to 20 to 25 psi. and also backfired a litle bit. I have no idea what is causing this and would like to know if there is anyone that could help me identify my problem, i dont know what the symptoms of compressor surge are but its one of my guesses.

Sounds to me like you may have blown off the return tube for the BOV. I had this happening to me for a short while, everytime it'd come off the car would stall if I left it in neutral and wouldn't accelerate for crap. Sounds like you may have blown that off or an entire IC pipe, check for leaks and fix them appropriately.
