Car ideling up and down alot and heats when running

My car is the 95 eagle talon tsi my problems are that when I turn the car on the car starts to idle up and down from 2 to 3 & 3 to 2 over and over when car is in normal temperature and when car starts to run the car starts to head up radiador is cold and hoses are coldish kinda abit warm but when the car is parked the car goes back to normal temperature please help!!!

Sounds like you have a few problems. The idle surging could be caused by a bad ISC which is located on the bottom of your throttle body.

The overheating issue could be a numerous of possibilities though such as low coolant, bad thermostat, coolant temp sensor, start of a bad water pump...etc.

Do you have any codes being pulled?

Wow I replaced the thermostat from the bottom hose but Ill be checking all that tomorrow morning and I havent had a chance to put the scanner in the car I dont know where the scanner plug is at :/ or something ### I barely have 2 weeks with this car and barely learning of them I have been into these cars for the past year but dont know much ill be checking the ISC and hopefully figure out the heating problem

Bad isc, make sure rad is full no air pocket

Do all what has stated above, and wouldn't be a bad Idea to check your timing be align.

If is jumped, It will cause some heat problems and bad Idle as well.

I think i have a radiator leak because I filled it up a few days ago and now its kinda empty :/ and ill be checking the isc now that I have lots of coments saying its the isc haha thanks guys now I dont have to worry alot

Ill be checking the timing also and see whats up I hope I have time to do it all tomorrow
