car hesitates under heavy accel or WOT

Like it says, when ever I gun it from a stop my car hesitates right at 3500 rpm's in 1st gear. I don't really know where I should start, the only think I keep thinking is tranny might have a problem, I have an automatic with 90900 miles on it. I just changed plugs about 300 miles ago and I need new wires and I need to do the timing belt very soon, but I don't know that those would cause a problem like this. I have a 14b here that I wanna install but I want everything to be in good working order before I cram more power out of my baby. If you guys have any thoughts it would be greatly appreciated. That is how it seems to me yeah, I did a pull getting on the freeway today and it only did it in first.

I just had a HUGE stuttering/hesitating problem with my car... It would just hit a wall and stutter like crazy at 11psi or so. I did a boost leak test and heard what sounded like a relatively small boost leak, so I figured "what the hey" and didn't do anything about it. Finally, about 2 months later, I fixed this "small" boost leak (intercooler pipe coupler) and the problem vanished
