Well I tried doing some research i found some threads with similar problems but didn't really resolve mine. Here the story...
Need help..no one on tuners responded
i recently upgraded from an evo 3 16G to a holset. the car was tuned with the 16g and made 370whp drivebilty and WOT were perfect no issues. So i pulled it all apart and added some upgrades, since march when i parked the car heres a list of the things ive added:
Hoslet HX35 7-blade
Ported Evo 3 mani w/38mm tial
BNIB fuellab AFPR Hesitates
BNIB fuellab Filter kit
Fuelpump rewire
well all said and done get it all hooked up and start driving the car around. (fuel pressure is currently set to 50psi). Well first thing i notice while climbing the rpm in city driving at EXACTLY 3k the car has a slight hesitation and car completely leans out but then goes back to normal at 3.1k rpm weird, Things we changed trying to diagnose the problem:
BNIB Bosh spark plug wires
BNIB NGK BR8es
Coil pack
We gapped the plugs at first to .22, went for a cruise again and the issue remained.
So on to WOT,still on the .22 gap, gunning the car at 2800-3k there is no hesitation , pulls through the power band really nice at 26-27psi, at about 5500 there feels like a spark blow out, then goes away and returns at 6.5k through 7k , boost never falls and fuel is perfect at 11.3.
So i proceed to lower the gap to .20 then go for a pull lower the boost to 24-25 psi, the problem is now starting at 6.8k thru 7k so its not really fixed
so Im stumped im scared to start throwing money at the wrong things
Ive only changed the parts listed above and after first start-up with the new turbo the car just idle like crap like the original tune was just gone. But its was later fixed
and idle good again...,
i dont know what else it can be
yes im on E85s

log 4/27/13 is cruising
log 5/8/13 is WOT (2nd gear)(i know should have been 3rd not enough room for it still same symptoms)
