A friend has a stock 420A. He recenetly put a CAI and after awhile the car started to bog. Then the CEL came on. He placed the stock intake unit back and still the bog and CEL. After I looked at his engine, a 90 degree pipe from the valve cover to the intake hose came off the valve cover!! Don't know how that happened. So We JB welded that little pipe back to the valve cover. Reset the ECU by disconnecting that batter for 20 mins. then started her back up again. Sure enough (especially when going up hill) the car would bog again.

The only mod he has is a 2.5 in cat back exhaust.

The bog sounds like, if you had a turbo 4G63 and one of your pipes popped off and you baby the gas. A kind of gargle sound.

no not yet. A friend of mine borrowed my OBD-II reader for the weekend. I need to contact my friend as we JB welded the thing at 12am last night. He reported the bog after driving up the street. Otherwise I don't think the CEL came on again after we d/c the battery to reset the ECU.
