Car dies

Ok I have a 95 eagle talon tsi and ive put lots to it and have had one problem I still cant figure out. When my car is running it sometimes shuts off as in the engine everything else elictrical stays on and check engine light comes on will crank it and cranks perfect but wount start so I will disconnect the battery for about 3min and connect back and car turns on like a champ will run fine for a while then shuts off again sometimes it wount and gauges start to go crazy and the car vack fires and check engine light goes on then will go off and car is normal again :/ now I dont really know but could this be the ignition coil pack, alarm sistem????

I'm having the same issue right now! Stuck on the interstate....

Wont start at all but will crank. Then randomly will start, then die.

Pulled the fp out, tested it to the battery, all good. NO blown fuses, nothing.

After 2 hours out here I got it to start and stay running if I held the gas down. Then after about 10 sec it starts to almost run a cyl or two down, then die.

Crank sensor?

BTW, cruising at 80, no CEL's no issues at all. THen lost power to the engine... No weird noises or anything.

sounds exactly like crank pos sensor. if your not getting spark and fuel, most def the cps. its about a 2.5hr repair. just did mine.

Well I checked fuel pressure and got 10psi :/ and 5psi when giving it some gas and got specifications and said it has to be at 33psi I dont know how in the world my car can run like that but ill be replacing fuel pump and my cam now I know my cam sensor is new but crank sensor where is that one at?

Not too sure I did get the 43.5 and the 33 but it was a bit confusing it said something about a low and high so I just went with the 33 haha but got 10 on my car :/ and it runs fine and boost fine its just that dieying rarely thats the problem

People the problem is the vss sensor just unplug it and the car will run just fine, you wont know your speed
its on top of the transmission. Ive had the same problem as described

Ok guys I have FINALY!!! Solved the problem a few weeks ago haha so what happened was with all these codes and problems I had and having to disconnect the battery and connect back on so it will start made me think it was the ecu is bad so I found a good one same year 95 for $70 so I decited to give it a try and bought the ecu from the guy and drove it for a couple of weeks and no problems what so ever I couldent be happier now I drive my car with no worries and boosting with a big smile on my face just putting it out there just in case someone else bumps into a problem like mine and never give up guys
