Now before anyone says, no its not the BOV. This isn't when driving, its just when I'm sitting there, in neutral, press in the clutch and the car dies. If I slowly press in the clutch, then the car slowly dies. When driving if I don't take it out gear into neutral and let off the clutch fast enough it will die.

What to check for?

Still stumped on this.. FYI not crankwalk..

I guess this started happening after an oil change, but I don't see how that could affect it. I have also noticed since this started happening that my brake light is on on the dash.

the break light could be caused by the e-brake lever switch beeing curroded and not making contact fully. My 1990 GS-T had that problem. I just swapped out the lever and it was all good again.

As for the engine cutting out when you press in the clutch. Might it be a bad TOB that isnt allowing it to spin and its just forcing the crank to stop. I have never heard of this problem at all. I hope you can get it fixed on the cheap and that its not a major problem. Best of luck to ya.

did you touch anything else while changing your oil? have you checked for boost leaks? How is your base timing? It could also be that your fluid is low not allowing the clutch to fully disengage when your slowing to stop.

LOl at work and had this thread up. I'll look.

read thru it. If it was a tob dragging enough to stall the engine there should be alot of noise.

clutch pedal adjustment/pivot points worn, bent fork, bad slave or master. Would be some things to check along with bleeding would be the first

I'll try bleeding the system again, everything else is new, so I hope they haven't gone bad already. Yeah and there is no noise at all, everything sounds normal.

My car just started doing this too whenever i engaged my clutch it would dip down and once clutch is engaged it vibrates and makes a weird wobble noise

I had the same thing happen to me come to find out it was a bent shift fork caused by a stiff ACT 2600 PP. Of course I didnt notice this till after I put a new clutch and resurfaced flywheel. I didnt shim the pivot ball and that made the problem worse but i didnt notice till I put the tranny back in. Shity!!! Oh well always a learning experience with a DSM. LOL

not to steal the thread, but

so I have the same clutch. what should I do to my tranny. Like should I get a new fork and shim the ball and thats it?

If your worried about the fork bending again you can always get a billet one. There stronger than the OEM ones and dont require mods to get it to work properly.
