car cuts out and sputters at 10lbs boost

Hi my spyder when I romp on it and boost it to 10 psi it starts cutting out and sputtering. Is that cause its maxed out on boost or is this cause of another problem?

10 psi is pretty much stock max boost give or take 1-2 psi but hitting max shouldn't be causing sputtering. Could be from multiple things but check for the basics first. Boost leak test and check your spark plugs if they need replacing.

I had this same issue a few times and come to find out, it was bad ignition wires, or spark plug gap. Also agree on the boost leak test.

for anything other than stock boost on a mild setup I generally go .025" and BPR7ES.

X3 on plugs and/or plug wires, I had a similar issue, turned out I had bad plugs and shortly after that fixed the issue my plug wires were bad, that fixed it completely from sputtering or hesitation under boost. Also agreed to do a BLT with soapy water to see potential leaks, usually a big leak will make the car fall flat on its face though. Could be coil pack as well
