Car bogging. full throttle but just wont go

New to the forums but ive owned my talon for about 2 years. But anyways title explains. Idles fine but regardless how much throttle you give it, she just doesn't want to go. At first it would just bog once in a while when giving it gas but now it just doesn't go. had to stop driving it because im a broke college kid but i got my tax money and my college loan so its time to get it done. Any help would be much appreciated.

Also having an over heating problem. Thinking its just the water pump but the fans do run either, im not sure if they run off the same belt or not.

Your going to have to explain more than that. Mods? Do you have a wideband!? It can be numerous things. As for the over heating, what are you asking? The fan doesn't run on a belt.

We need more info as said above. Are you loosing coolant? Have you checked your timing? We need more details to better help you out.

Did you ever have a big ass coolant leak?

Low power and leaking coolant? Sounds like it might be a blown head gasket. A bad water pump you'd still have power if you were stupid enough to use it.

Aside from the over heating problem have you checked all yoru vaccum lines? Overheating problem is most likely a leak in the system. Check oil for coolant and vise versa.

Boost leak, compression test, check fluids

I'd start with checking the basics first. Is your coolant full and in good condition? Is the thermostat stuck? Are any hoses collapsed? Do you have spark? Do have adequate fuel pressure? The bog could be caused by a clogged fuel filter or a fuel pump going bad.
