Car almost dying before turbo kicks in?

I drive a 95 talon tsi fwd. When I hit the gas on my car, like I'm about ready to floor it and then let off right before the turbo kicks in, or when the turbo has barely kicked in, the car almost dies. What could this be from???

haha. yeah it goes fine if i let the turbo boost up.
