car alarm making car stall?

My buddy has a 02 galant , and when he went to go start the car today the car just keeps stalling. The doors will not lock unless the key is turned, every thing was working fine last night. I was wondering if I disconect the stock alarm if the car would still run? Or is it even the alarm thats making this happen?

The alarm is not the problem it is more than likely the base idle needs reset in what mitsu calls SAS mode and it has to be done with the mitsu scan tool. This is very common for the galants to die. make sure you clean and sbrub the throttle body before having the base idle set. It gets reset whenever the cars battery dies for a while. You can clean the throttle body run the car for 5 min to clean all the combustion cleaner out and then reset the battery for 5 min. Then start the car and let it run for 10 min with no acc on at all, no radio no a/c , NOTHING, Turn off the engine let it sit for 30 sec and restart and all setings should be reset. Drive the car like you normally would and the trans will also relearn all you driving behavior and shift points. Good luck
