car acting strange i think tranny?

Well first ill say a normal problem with my car Its hard to shift. gata really pull it into gear. mainly 1st and 2nd but there all harder then normal. i looked around and i was thinking maby there is that little clip on the shifting arm that make shifting more easy?

Also today i reilized that in 3rd gear it sounded like the tranny was kinda grinding just a little while i was driving and the whole time to not just when i shifted. I didnt want to drive it harder just incase. dont know if i just didnt hear it in 1st and 2nd because its pritty quiet.

First of all make sure the shifter cables in the engine compartment are tied down and not moving around (watch them as someone shifts for you). Then check adjustment. Then check cable play at the shifter itself and at the tranny end. Then consider skateboard bearing and shifter plate hard washer mods. This is all far easier than just assuming it's in the tranny right away.

but anyways. yeah, i would check the cables (and upgrade to the metal bearings), and replace your shifter bushings under your center console with metal washers. i did both the linkage and the shifter upgrades and they make your shifts feel solid. i got my kits off ebay, and they're still holding after a year.
