I have a 95 GS-T and got into a car accident today with a jeep. It hit the front of the car, on the very corner of the passanger side bumper. So the entire front/side is smushed in, the radiator is obviously busted, AC, front passanger headlight out, hood slightly dented, front frame structure busted, and some things pushed back like the air intake etc. The engine is fine, and it will start for about 3 seconds, then instead of idling it will die. What may the exact cause of this be? Some kind of sensor busted?

Also I know it will cost quite a bit to fix all of this. Any suggestions? Find an eclipse with a bad engine and swap it out? Get it fixed? Sell what's salvagable and get a new cheap car (i'm a college student so i don't have much money)

anything positive will make me feel better, thanks!

probably just some wire got knocked loose in the accident and thats why it wont run. As far as fixing the car. Start calling junkyards for fenders/bumper/hood, whatever you need. And if that doesnt do any good, there is a company in...Manchester, i think, called Veng, they sell non-OEM aftermarket body parts. Not always the best fitting things out of the box, but they will work and will cost you a lot less then new OEM stuff.

i dont know if it got hit. But there are two wiring harnesses at the bottom of the radiator support. one infront of it (bumper side) and one inside/under the radiator. also check to make sure you didnt blow any fuses, and your radiator fan didnt hit yout alt.

thanks guys, i'm going to try to strip away everything that is messed up tomorrow, it's more than just body parts LOL. The radiator is practically smashed in half, i know the radiator harness will have to be replaced. I haven't done too much mechanical work so bear with me plase ;)

Did it occur to anyone that the stock side mount intercooler might be there? Well, If it is, than it might be busted up. And If its busted it, than its a huge boost leak. And if its a huge boost leak, than it will stall. It will start, but it will stall. So go take a look at it.
