Can't tell what size injectors I have while tuning my MAFT

I have the new v2.1 of the MAFT. I "supposidly" purchased some 680cc injectors. Well since I did my jdm swap, i switched the CAS over too. I set the MAFT to the base settings for 680s. The car doesn't get a good idle at all, the timing mark on the crank is bouncing from 0 to 10* BTDC. So I decided I would fiddle around with the transmitter to see what base knob it best idled at. BTW: I did the BISS adjustment too. So I ended up getting a setting on the base of 0, which after checking the chart says is for 580cc injectors. If your wondering why i just didn't go drive it and set the base to my mid and highs is because my rear suspension is gone, so i'm trying to get the idle smooth while i wait on my new shocks in the mail. I bought the injectors from a less then reputable vendor, that i didn't know about at the time. He was very late on getting me my parts and I stayed on his Arsh about getting them to me. I think he may have sent me smaller injectors just to shut me up. I checked the serial numbers on them and called SBR about it, all they could tell me is that they were PTE injectors, but no clue what size.

I have a A/F meter, but with the car running on the zero setting at a good idle, the a/f meter doesn't even show a tick on it at all. when i tap the throttle...it shoots up out of the lean and into the rich (green) then back....as if i'm running lean as hell. So then i try to turn the base one click left to richen it up a bit and the car fn'g dies on me. I try to turn the idle knob a click or two and the idle stays high around 1600 rpms.

I have a logger too, shouldn't the v on the o2 be fluctuating from like .2-.9v ?

sorry so long

o.k. here's an update. I got the idle to be between .2 and .9 v at idle on my logger and in the stoich on my gauge. so i'm sure this dude screwed me on my injectors. no way is the transmitter off by 100 cc's I've heard of 50 but that's at the most, plus this is the new version. I think I'm just going to buy some new ones from a better vendor. Still got to get the idle down. I'm going to try to re shoot the base timing on the setting i have now and see where that leads me.

You can't say that. There are quite a few things that affect the base setting of the maft. It's very RARE that you actually set the maft to what your injectors are and they work at that value. I would not blame the vendor based on the maft settings.

And you really aren't tuning the maft correct at all. I know you say you can't move the car yet, but you have to get it moving to set the base setting. Once you're crusing you set the base setting based on the mid and high fuel trims. Then you tweak the idle knob to get the idle fuel trim in line. I would just not mess with the car until it's rolling again.

I know i'm not tuning it right...by the instructions. Yes, it is due to my car being undrivable at the moment. I will be able to road tune next week, but just because it's not in the instructions doesn't mean i can't do it. It's not rocket science. I got my o2's where they need to be at. They won't get within range at any other base/idle knob setting, so now i have a better idea of where to start out road tuning. That's all i was trying to accomplish. I bet I will be able to leave the mid and high at zero when i go road tune it also.

Also, if i would have left it on what the settings were per the instructions, i would have been running way way too lean. so lean it was not even registering on the a/f gauage and reading .01 constant on my logger. That to me is worse then a little tinkering with the idle to get it in a safe range so i don't cause detonation.
