Can't post in drivetrain

Trying to get opinions before i attempt pulling trans. When i start the car up, i hear grinding and it grinds while running. Trans wont work in any gear unless the engine is revved very high. Then it slams into gear and will go backwards and forward but forward is like starting in 3rd gear. I tried to get codes from tcu but I'm assuming there isn't any. I have a guy who build the transmissions for my trans am and he says its probably the input shaft. Not sure. Fluid looks and smells good. I'm going to drop the pan and see what it looks like.

Also, if it has a 6 bolt swap, were the transmissions the same?

Pull the Trans and inspect all the clutch components, input shaft, and if i knew what transmission you have i could point you in a more specific direction...

Do you have all gears? Does your shifter float? Does it grind into revers or "pop" into reverse?

Trans is out. Pump is shot. They didnt use the kiggly kit and the converter wore the bearings and wore into the pump housing. They used a 7bolt flexplate with only 5 bolts and the spacer plate was all cut up where the starter goes.

Missing 1 bolt. Anyone know where i can get 1?
