Can't Figure out where this hose goes. (Pics Included)

Hey guys. I have a problem. I am working on a 95 Talon TSi. I got the car in boxes and im in the process of putting it together for a friend. I am doing fine but I have hit a road block with a hose I can't find a location for. Chilton, Haynes, Internet all have failed. I have tried to search the forums for an answer (not to say I missed it with bad keyword searches) so I am asking for help. If I missed it in the forums i'm sorry for adding this thread. The hose has a check valve in it and only allows air to flow one way. This makes me think it belongs to the evap system, but not sure.

Thought that to, but nope that hose is in place. I am stumped on this hose.

The hose in the pic will only allow me to push air one way. in the pic its right to left.

Thought so, because there is a check valve inside, you can see the lump in the pic and an arrow showing direction of flow, this is the intake manifold to brake booster line.

Wait, did you update your first post or did I just miss it, anyways, as stated before it seems to be the brake booster line.

You may want to check and see if the current booster line has a check valve in it also, you may have got your hoses mixed up.

I second this motion. If that one DOES have a check valve you may have a duplicate! Hooray for spare parts!

PCV check valve is threaded into the valve cover.

I didn't remove the brake booster hose during this rebuild, but I will check it anyway tonight (never know if previous owner did something). But the natural bend of this hose does not fit the location of the manifold to brake booster only reason making me think its not for it. The line on the brake booster now is L-shaded, where this one is U shaped as you can see.

In any case I will update tonight with what I find.

We have a winner. After more research I found the hose goes to a Subaru WRX. Previous owner had one. So I figure parts got mixed up.

Thanks for the help guys. Hopefully I will have this car on the road in a day or two after a few last items sorted out (Oil leaks from oil sensors).

Glad you figured it out. Told you it was a brake booster line even though it wasnt a DSM specific one
