Cant figure out E-brake.

The lines on my ebrake look like they were recently replaced. The ebrake is fully tighend under the center console. The lever is very hard to pull, but that is beacuse of how tightend it is. The brake pads are fine, and when I pull the lever the parts on the brake do move. I wd-40'd the parts on the brake and everything is moving fine. I also re-bled the system and still no go. I can pull the e-brake to the point where I am not strong enough to phisicaly pull teh lever any farther back, then get out and push my car with one hand. This is proving a major problem because living in a city and having a turbo-timer & no e-brake is posing a major problem. Wisemen please help me figure this out!

Take the rear caliper off and pull the lever arm (end of the cable connects too) with a LARGE (not a medium or sissy large) screw driver. If the piston moves out a couple mm and LOCKS, your calipers are fine. If not... well, you need new rear calipers.

The parking brake is mechanical, not hydraulic. So the problem's not that part of your question.

Yea, it's being quite the pain. The rear breaks are fine. Everything seems to be working perfectly but nothing is happening. I even looked in a chilons manual with no real pervail =/

Stop turbo timing your car. Problem solved.

The hydraulic part iof the brake might be good but the mechanical lever might not be (both sides). Do what I told you; it only should take you 20 min per side.
