OMG

Well, I guess that would explain any boost issues that you might have been having.....

haha did you read my other "HELP!! I think I blew up my turbo!!" thread?

Haha, yeah, I doubt any of us could have guessed that the whole turbine wheel had broken clean off. So what's going on in it's place?

No, no nothing wrong with that picture..everything looks PERFECT! The turbine is totally overrated..who needs one? Take that off and you have GREAT weight reduction.

Congratulations man, your car is now 5 lbs lighter...that translates to a lovely .001 HP gain. :p

Ummmm...when did you purchase this car? It looks like to me that someone was having turbo problems and decided to just leave the turbine shaft out. Did you recently purchase the car? I SERIOUSLY doubt the shaft could have dislodged itself. Did the turbo EVER work since you have owned the car? Hope you didn't get swindled!

Bought the car for 1700 with a hole the size of a baseball in the block. Bought the japanese engine for 1750. Put the turbo that had been left on the car (t25 - and yes putting a turbo off of a blown up engine is a mistake). It worked for an hour an a half then there was suddenly no turbo pressure and white smoke POURING out the exhaust on throttle.

So now goes on the 16g - cross the fingers - I swear this car is cursed OMG

Jesus christ, how in the hell was there a BASEBALL sized hole in the block? I'd REALLY like to see some pictures of that!!! =) Must of ran REALLY lean or something? Do you know the story behind it?

When I bought the car there was a black piece of plastic over the "Check Engine Light" in the dash - problem is, when you cover that up you also cover up the "PUT MORE OIL IN YOUR ENGINE DUMBASS Light"

yes, he is a moron... here's the pic below the intake manifold -

Amen!

Take that exhaust off and go thru it ccompletely and make sure that thing or chinks of it aren't tstill in there somwhere...

What do you guys think? get the second o2 off and the cat and use a plumbers snake?

I am befuddled

What's so wrong with that being in the exhaust (honestly i can't picture it having come out)? Would this to damage or what?

Oh and btw the engine was in and ran for an hour and half a couple weeks ago but then the pictures above happened.

I just put on the 16g that came off tonight and it feels worse than the t25 as far as power.

Just so you know though, I had to put the t25 o2 sensor housing on in order for it to bolt up to the turbo, and this is really bad because things don't line up well between the o2 sensor housing and the turbo (think forcing air into an UNTAPERED smaller hole).

I would like to fix that right away, but is that my only problem? or could the possible turbine wheel in exhaust have screwed things up in there?

If the turbine wheel is still in your exaust, it will be creating a huge exaust restriction. Get that thing outta there.

Well I was just wondering what damage this would do - obviously it restricts exhaust flow, but I was wondering if it coule be doing any serious damage....
