ok well , i have a 1995 eagle talon tsi awd


OK , well im have this weird/stupid idle problem. when i start my car it wants to idle around 2100 rpms. i don't know y but then after a couple of mins it will start to idle really fast between 1200-1500 then it will start to increase to 1500-1800 . it will do that really fast for some reason. i unpluged my mas and it idle fine. then i unplugged the isc and that didn't help it either. is there anything else that i can do to try and figure this problem out. also with a dirty airfilter have any effect on the engine.

I was looking for answers on my 1g idle issues and found there's a couple of really good how to's and vfacs on the subject. There's some really good info on things to check, and how to check them...try looking in the archives for other threads, as well. Seems to be a common problem with these cars....

And, yes a dirty air filter can cause all kinds of unecessary issues...Time for an upgrade!!!

In fact, might not be a bad idea to throw a little love at the thing. I see you just bought the car. I would most definately give the whole car a once over. Check the usual used car kinds of things...and see if there's any reciepts or maintainence records available from the previous owner.

okay boys im going to get that new airfilter cause the one i have is pretty dirty and nasty also lookin to replace spark plugs and wires could u boys give me some suggestions as to what the best BANG FOR YOUR BUCK kinda deals thanx alot guys
