Couple questions Maybe u can help

I have a blue smoke commign out of the tail pipe its got a sweet smell to it so i figured coolant and then led me to head gasket it also has a exhaust manifold leak

now can all these cause the car to have a rev limit? like first it started at 3000rpm + no smoke
now its at 1500+blue smoke
ive checked the turbo and its in perfect running condition i know a bad turbo could also give off blue smoke

btw the car is a 95 talon tsi awd with a 6bolt swap

You are correct that a sweet smell would indicate coolant. Blue would indicate oil though. Yes, a head gasket can cause that. I had a customer car that wouldn't rev over 1,800RPM due to the head gasket leaking into the cylinders.

+1 on that. seen it many time's to much boost or not watching that temp gauge. but also you did say it's a 6bolt swap right. check your senser on their reading
