Was trying to fix my turbo timer when i ran across this. Its attached to a small black box right next to the gas pedal.. its a small button type of thing. i had the vehicle running, i pushed it, it did nothing. Just curious. Thanks!

I have one of those as well and mine is a N/T??? I found this the other day when my radio quit working and I was checking fuses

Take a picture of said black box.
 
It could be just something that the factory added for assembly or function testing. At any rate use an electrical tester and check to see if and when it has power. Try car off car on car running, if you get no reading or pulses of electricity don't worry about it.
 
Shouldn't the car have the security light come on if it has an alarm system?
 
It does look like a valet button for an aftermarket alarm. I'm not sure if the wires from the button are going to the box with the mitsu logo on it, it may just be using the same wire loom. I use to use existing wire looms when I installed.
