Can someone tell me what the heck this is? 1995 GSX

Was trying to fix my turbo timer when i ran across this. Its attached to a small black box right next to the gas pedal.. its a small button type of thing. i had the vehicle running, i pushed it, it did nothing. Just curious. Thanks!

Maybe alarm. Try and figure out where the wires from the box go.

Take a picture of said black box.

It could be just something that the factory added for assembly or function testing. At any rate use an electrical tester and check to see if and when it has power. Try car off car on car running, if you get no reading or pulses of electricity don't worry about it.

Not if it's aftermarket.

If it is alittle red button then its the alarm, i just found mine under neath my sterring wheel and when it goes off you have to push and hold it to start the car.

It has a Mitsu logo sticker on it, so I'm not sure how it can be aftermarket.

I had one of those as well, and read the button was to be used to program remotes. It never worked for me with the new remotes, so it may only work with the old versions.

It does look like a valet button for an aftermarket alarm. I'm not sure if the wires from the button are going to the box with the mitsu logo on it, it may just be using the same wire loom. I use to use existing wire looms when I installed.

It has something to do with the keyless entry, I have the same button with a fuse right beside it
