I bought a walbro 255 and the install kit was opened... I believe it is missing a couple plastic pieces that go on the pump inlet and the clip that holds the sock on the pump. Can somebody go through a walbro 255 (gss341) install kit and name of and describe all the parts in the kit. The part number on the bag is 400-857.]

Thanks in advance.

I can help you. I have the following:
1. foam pump sleeve
2. semi-hard
d rubber half circle 3/8" to 5/8" thick
3. perforated "cloth" bag the size of a large book of matches attached to a plastic top that has a thin steel ring aroud the circular opening.
4. 2 wire harness-red/black wires attached to a female clip
5. 1 zip tie
6. a 3/8" rubber o-ring
7. white/opaque plastic ring/clip

Descriptions may not be 100% but my best!!

I just opened the bag to do the list for you so it is correct. If something needs clarification just ask. mark

Thanks man I really appreciate it! Could you please elaborate on numbers 2 and 7 on your list. I believe I am missing those...

Also, that perforated bag is called a fuel pump sock. Where it goes on the pump, there should be a small metal ring clip that holds it on. Is that inclued in the kit??

OK! #2 is called a fuel pump isolator. It is used because the new pump may be a different diameter. The directions state that the old pump will have an isolator on it and it should not be reused unless the kit does not have an isolator. OK man I got the pump out and this rubber piece slides onto the bottom of the pump and is used it appears to cushion the pump when it is attached to the mount bracket/pump support.
The "sock" has a plastic top that slides over the bottom of the pump also. It must be the pick-up of course/sme end as the isolator spoken about above. Then the Item #7 isa snap lip that holds the "sock" to the bottom of the pump. When looking at the bottom there is a post in the center and this is what the "sock" slides over as it fits onto the pick-up.
So both #2/isolator and #7 are used on the bottom of the pump. #7 to hold the "sock" nto the pump and #2 to act as a "cushion" between the pump and the mounting bracket. The mounting kits are available seperately I believe. Any more, just ask as I have not installed mine yet. Mark

I had to bring this back. I'm about to install a 190 walbro pump but my install kit is apparently missing number 2 (the rubber isolator thingy) and I think number 7 although I don't know what it is. Can I reuse the stock isolator with a walbro 190 or do I need to buy a new install kit? Also, can I get a better description of number 2.

I had the 255 but I never installed it. The 190 is more appropriate for my goals with the car. That's besides the question anyway.
