sensor plug harness is completely soaked, and some water sits atop the pistons...:banghead:

As for the sensor harness dielectric grease will fix that issue, just fill all the connectors with it AFTER you use a compressor to blow the connectors out. the block depending on the rust might need to be machined to clean it up

The good news is your snow injection system seems to be working really good ROFL

Sorry just trying to lighten the dismay at the condition.

Worst case scenario you need a new motor and have to rebuild the transmission. Looks like you'll probably just need some heavy machine work done though. You can fix anything.

Looks like too much of a headache to me. Unless you plan to build the motor, I would buy a decent used motor
and trying the transmission out. Chances are, the engine has to come out anyways.

If this works, you'll probably end up spending less money this way if you can find a motor for cheap. (more labor vs more money)

Also, what happened? Someone steal the hood off your car during a blizzard?

...see because this was my re-build :( and i put every penny and dime into it last summer and was hoping to be done within the next few weeks...FML i cant rebuild it anymore I just started college and im a single father. This was supposed to be my DD. So looks like im out of the game for awhile...AGAIN:banghead:

Thanks for your input guys, appreciate it

car is now for sale on CL

LOL thanks for that, this actually made me laugh

Check for pitting on the cylinder walls. If there is pitting it may not be repairable. It will need machine work though for sure it looks.

Yea there was some pitting:(

Also, what happened? Someone steal the hood off your car during a blizzard?

No just build up from underneath during that blizzard and was buried in snow till today when i finally got a chance to get around to get to it and looked into the bay and found it like that.

you might post a pic of the rusted cylinders..someone would be pissed to get there and find that. If there were an affordable way to get it to utah, id buy it in a heartbeat.

Look at those strut towers! Looks like a good shell.. He is asking way too much AND doens't know what "prestige" means..

Oh! I didn't realize it was your car for sale, I thought you were looking at buying it. In that case:
Looks like a good shell.. You are asking way too much AND your brother doesn't know what "prestige" means..

Actually, if I already had the new engine for my 98 built so I could drop the stocker in yours I'd be all over this car for my girlfriend after negotiating the shit out of it. Good luck bud.

Nothing personal, that's just kinda how I do.. I've actually been challenged to pick up a 1G AWD for $250..it's not going well so far..

Well guys, ive changed my mind. Ive decided to keep the car and fix her up. I got a great deal on a rebuilt 7bolt that would of come out cheaper than having all of the machine work done. As for the transmission wouldnt it be safe to say that if there was lube in there it would of protected it if any water seeped into there? Either way as a precaution im going to have it checked out and go from there.
