Can my 1g set up run race gas?

My car is my daily driver. rebuilt stock motor and stock head. My current set up is as follows:
mhi 16g
SBR race fmic
greddy type rs bov
SBR turbo manifold
3 inch downpipe/3 inch exhaust piping (magnaflow)
550cc
2g maf
Keydiver chip
190lph fuel pump
Apexi Neo
autometer boost gauge
Turbonetics boost controller not installed yet. So Im running stock boost.


Parts on the way is an lc1 wideband, 1g non cruise control cable, fuel pump rewire kit. I have a palm v logger which only needs the datalog cable to the car. The apexi neo came in the car and the injectors as well. Later down the road I will get dsmlink. Now my question is can I run race gas with this set up? Can I get it tuned on 91 pump ( I live in cali.. I know...) and then on special occassions run race fuel? I've read up on using a dual image chip.

Race fuel is just higher octane. Your car, my car, even your grandmas car will run on it. Just may be harder to start cold

Timing will not be optimal between the two fuels.

Yes you can run a dual image. Fairly easy to mod the board and just stack the images.

Keep in mind some race gas still contains lead, and that can and will harm parts like the catalitic converter and O2 sensors

Ok Just got off work guys. So i can run race gas? Nice but now the thing is once I get it tuned by a fellow dsm'er around my area. (175 for street tune) Will I have to retune it to run race gas or what? its going to be a pain having to pay just to switch the tune to pump gas or race gas

The easy way to get more power from some race gas is to lean out the SAFC Neo by 5% and raise the boost 2-3 psi. Just make sure you get a good concentration of race gas in the tank, run the tank down at least down to 1/8th tank, then add at least 5 gallons of 100 unleaded. If you run the tank dry and fill up with all 100 octane, then you can lean out the SAFC by 8% and raise the boost by 4-5 psi total. You'll feel a big difference in power!

Upgrade your fuel system and just run e85 all the time since your in cali it should be easy to get and it burns about 105 octane

Later on I will do that. But the nearest e85 station is like 70-100 miles away from me. Right now I just want to hit high 12s low 13s, then work my way into the 11s.
