can I make a boost alarm?

I was wondering If I could make an alarm or like a beeping noise everytime I hit High boost so I dont have to look at my boost guage and keep my eyes on the road?? may sound stupid but almost got into an accident for lookin at my boost guage very stupid but anyway is this possible.

you could make a boost light realy easy. just get a hobbs pressure switch and a spdt relay and a led. then set it up so that when the hobbs switch comes on it switches the relay which lights up an led. or you could just replace the led with something that makes a sound instead

That still isn't as good as knowing exact what your boost is doing by looking at the boost gauge. Just do it somewhere you won't die.

yea but I know my boost all the time Im not to worried at this point what it reads just at one time my turbo is fully spooled ya know..? but thanks for replies I thought I might get flamed for this


can you give me any places where I can buy those things, im not to perticular with those items

Yeah, if you're going to spend the time to rig up a pressure switch & alarm, then you might as well, save your self the trouble, spend a bit extra, and get a electronic boost controller.

I just picked up a brand Blitz DSBC (older one) for $250. Now I have 4 boost setting, peak hold, real time reading of manifold pressure, and warn beep. What's real nice is how fast it can spool without spiking.

Good thing I read Japanese. No English manual :thumbdown

nope, one 12V, one ground, manifold pressure (like boost gauge) and one harness

i had a friend who had a 91 lx mustang with a 82 svo engine tranny and wiring harness in it and it had a over boost light and buzzer but it came from the factory like that u might be able to look into it like that and find out how to run something. it was kinda funny every ime he hit like 20 pounds it sounded like the alarm was goin off for a bomb, flashing lights in the car and buzzing sounds,
