Can anyone help me find papers/documentation of Blitz bodykit?

I bought a used 1998 Eclipse, with full blitz bodykit. To get it registered in my country, it needs to get inspected, and they will need some kind of papers/documentation of the body kit.

Can anyone help me find something? An approval (TÜV) of some kind would be great.

ok ive seen this post like a month ago and see no one answered you..maybe because they are as confused as i am..? so lets find out some info....

1st off...what the hell is "documentation of the bumper"? papers stating what? that the bumper is made by blitz? that the bumper was made for this car specifically? that you had it pro. installed....?

2nd...why dont you call....blitz?

Do you need documentation that the Blitz body kit was produced using the same material and/or method as your OEM body kit so they know that it doesn't fall apart on the road? If yes, then you won't get any.

I just need anything that says what it is, or better - says that it is produced and tested on this car.

I'm sure theres some papers delivered together with the kit when you order from Blitz? I have a feeling that this kit is not original though, but that doesn't matter.

I bought my car used, and didn't get any papers, and the car has been owned by a few people, so i can't track back who installed the kit.

The reason i need it is because in my country they are really strict about everything when registering cars. So they will most probably ask me to get some documentation on the body kit. Any papers is better then nothing.

Btw: does anyone know whats the official web page of the producer of Blitz?

I got news, the only thing they tested was that it fit on the vehicle. It was never tested to see if it stayed on, how it worked during a crash, bodykit companies in every other country but yours don't have to worry about TUV approval for everything. Sounds like you're SOL here partner.

That and I can darn near guarantee you that the "Blitz style" body kit you have isn't the original as Blitz only made that style for the supra. Then some cheap American or Chinese company modified it to fit onto a dsm and started building their own kits and calling them Blitz kits.

I say sell your body kit and go with 97-99 oem factory bumpers. Because it seems like your going to have a headache trying to get the documents you need.

Agreed. Can you get it registered without any bumper covers on? Just take it off and see if they will register it. It is just fiberglass, not like it is supposed to protect anything from being broken.

Registering without bumpers will not work, because of safety of unlucky pedestrians (it's better to be hit with poor quality bumper, than the metal w/screws etc.). Buying OEM is not an option, because they don't sell it in my country

But it's not like it's impossible to get it registered without documentation (theres a few eclipses with this bodykit in my country), but i'm afraid it might be a problem. It all depends on who's inspecting my car.

You americans are so lucky - seems like everything is allowed on your cars...

buy from Ebay and use paypal or bank transfer. most sellers will understand the situation provided you don't try and pay in a fake western union, or Monopoly money or one of the 800 scams out there. Buy OEM bumpers, or make up some BS for the paperwork. most of the things we do in america aren't technically legal, we just pretend they are or bend the law a little to suit us
